D' Tandoor Review

Hey there guys!So this here is a post that should have happened a few months back. Sorry for being late. Really menat to get this up soon but only have the chance to do so now.

For my birthday , I asked grandma to treat me to lunch. At D' Tandoor. Love the food there by the way. The moment you walk into the restaurant, the aroma of spices and flavours just welcome you and it's so wonderful to be there.

So we ordered the Aloo Gobi. I think this is the picture of that but I can't promise you because these pictures were taken way too long for me to keep track of that. Anyway, this Aloo Gobi was mildly spicy but very fragrant and flavourful from all the spices used. It was okay but honestly I expected more out of this dish. The next dish we ordered was Butter Chicken (Murgh Makhani) but I found that a tad too bland. I also expected more spiciness from this dish eventhough it's called Butter Chicken must that's my personal preference. Then, we had the vindaloo. That was fiery hot from all the pepper but the meat was quite tough and in my opinion should have been boiled longer. I did not manage this as I was lazy to chew that day.

Oh! And before I forget for drinks, I ordered
an almond based milkshake (strawberry) while the others ordered sweet lassi, mango lassi and the fruit punch. My milkshake had almond flakes of course and it was very difficult to sip the drink through with a straw. Other than that, it was delicious and so were the rest of the drinks which I also sipped for my pleasure!

And this is another curry I ordered but completely forgot what it was. I don't even have the faintest clue. But what i remember is that it was okay. We also ordered a normal briyani to have with all these dishes and I would have liked to have dessert as well but my stomach had no space that day. When I was there many months back, I have a really wonderful kulfi which is Indian- style ice- cream. I'll definitely have that one next time though.
My rating for this place is 3/5. The food there was not very great. It was okay and delicious but I really did expect more. The last time that I was there in December, the quality was better. Well, that's all. I hope you enjoyed my review. Oh! And thank you for stopping by. Please do Like my blog shop on Facebook. It would mean a lot to me. The link is here

Top Five of My Favourite Food...

So hey,it's me again and i thought that today I'll be blogging about my top 5 favourite food.
Food is something that brings different people together and that's what I love about it.Other than the fact it keeps us alive!(hehehe)

Anyway,here goes.

5)Fried Tom Yam Noodles
At the moment,I can't say where my favourite noodles come from.Have not found a restaurant that serves up a really good Fried Tom Yam Noodle. All I know is that once I tried some really good stuff that a friend brought to school for Teacher's Day.Here's a picture that I got of the Net to show you guys what it looks like in case you don't know.Yum yum right?

For me, the qualifications are that the noodles have to be cooked  'Al dente' and have to have really strong flavour.Of course they have to be spicy and sour. And personally,I like them to be cooked using 'Bee Hoon' or rice vermicelli which allows the flavour to be strong.

My favourite place to get Tom Yam Noodles:Well,I don't have one yet,so please tell me where I can get lovely Tom Yam noodles!Feel free!

Pair it with:Ice Lemon Tea!That's my favourite but I would suggest that you pair it with an iced drink  to combat the heat!

 4)Iddiapam Briyani
Well, this is a truly wonderful dish.Simply and delicate, yet flavourful. It's made from rice and kind of resembles rice vermicelli in a medium-sized heap.Really good stuff and not very easy to find.

Hmmm, let's see.My qualifications for this dish are I like to be slightly spicy and with a yellow tinge to the Iddiapam. The Iddiapam of course should be 'Al dente' and not clumped together.

My favourite place to get Iddiapam Briyani:Well,I had a wonderful version at my aunt's house when they had a dinner. The food was catered from Jaya Catering so get your fix there!

Pair it with:Jaya Catering makes a really great Hot Ginger Tea!

Here are the pictures for you to drool on!

3)Briyani Rice
Well, what can I say.If this dish is cooked properly, you'll be cooked.

I like my grains fluffy and well separated,on top of being soft. You can get this at many places nowadays because it's popularity is increasing. The way it's cooked and the flavours vary based on where you buy this dish.

My favourite place to get Briyani Rice or Nasi Briyani:D' Tandoor serves excellent Nasi Briyani!

Pair it with: I'd recommend for you to pair this with a lovely iced apple juice or even a cold soya bean.

2)Tosai Masala
Tosai Masala is a very flavourful version of tosai.Tosai is an Indian style pancake made out of fermented rice flour. The tosai is then stuffed with flavourful potatoes cooked in spices known as 'Aloo Gobi.'

My qualifications are the potatoes have to be well-cooked and infused with the necessary spices. The tosai has to be soft and fluffy, and I love mine to have crispy edges.

My Favourite Place To Get Tosai Masala:Jaya Catering and believe me,it's good!

Pair it with:A lassi of your choice or hot milk tea!

1)Nasi Lemak
Now,see that's what makes me Malaysian! You can get Nasi Lemak anywhere. That really is a true Malaysian thing.

My requirements for this dish are the grains have to be fluffy,well-cooked and separated. And the sambal has to be good.Real good.Or else, the dish is useless.HEHE.

My Favourite Place To Get Nasi Lemak:Old Town White Coffee. And when you're there, get the supreme version which consists of squid, anchovies, and a lovely sambal!

Pair it with:Most people pair it with Teh Tarik but i love to pair it with The Signature Freeze from Old Town as well!

So that's the end of my list. What are your favourite foods?Leave a comment down below!thanks for dropping by.

                                                                                                                                 xoxo
