a total wipeout
Hey there.I just wanted to bring your attention to something that the world,per say is hiding from.Do you notice,that in magazines,newspaper articles,and even textbooks,they do not really tell us The Importance of Conserving and Protecting the Environment?They only say,humankind will find it hard to survive,plants may go extinct and certain species of animals may never be found again?Have you ever really processed what they are really trying to say?Are they trying to say,human beings can survive without animals?Are they trying to say that we don't need plants to live?You see,the true fact is that we can't survive without animals and plants.They never say that in your textbooks,do they?We need flora and fauna to live and they need each other to carry on.Without flora and fauna,we'll starve to death.Yes,us humans.Think you're invincible?Well,think again!I just know that,if they release this info,everyone will take notice and do their bit to save the environment.This is because people want to live,and live long at that.Do good and nature will take care of you.Yes,it's true.So,instead of putting down that humankind will suffer and blah,blah,blah,the people who pen these things down should say what really will happen to all of us in the end if we don't start doing our part for nature now.Everyone will DIE!!!People will not be cruel because they now know about the dire consequences they'll have to face.Well,if you want to get started with protecting the environment right away,here are 3 things for you to get started on;
1)Switch off all switches that aren't in use.
2)Do not use the air-cond if it's cold or raining
3)Take a bath instead of a having a 1/2 an hour shower

Okay,so originally I was planning to just upgrade my blog, not to write a post.As we know, teenagers nowadays are associated with causing problems for others, without thinking,of course. And that sickens me.Of course, there are some teenagers who "fit the description",teens who are not interested in upholding their cultures and more importantly, their name.
So,why not be different? As of today, make yourself stand out.Make yourself be heard.Make yourself be useful to your family, your friends, and all the people around you.Make a difference in this world.BE DIFFERENT.
The world needs you.Set an example for others.Be the example that your peers can follow.Don't wait for others to set the example.
So,as of now, think of what your vision is.Set goals for yourself. And take steps,be it small or big,to accomplish your goals and dreams and desires.
For instance,if you care about nature and the environment(I think you should),plant trees in your local park or garden.Use both sides of paper.Promote green living among your peers.
If you'd rather do something for people than nature(which is cool too),visit a nearby orphanage. Before you do that, rummage through your closet for any clothes that you don't really need anymore.Or go through your toys, all of your belongings and see what you can do.Or have a bake sale and give the money to charity.Or bake the cake yourself and give it to them.
The possibilities are endless. Why wait til you are an adult to make a difference? You see,by doing charity now,you will find it easier to do bigger things later on in life.
Oh!And before I forget,start small...Then,work your way up.
So,I guess we have come to an end for today's blog.Go and think about, how you(yes, you!)can make a difference in this world. Then, take small steps to accomplish it!
Please also don't forget to tell me how you've made
a difference in someone's life.Be it your mum's or someone whom you've never met before,I really would like to hear from you.
Til next time,Denise.

Good afternoon everyone.I would like to say a very HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all! ALWAYS BE GRATEFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE is my tagline today. What do I mean you ask? What have YOU,yes you to be thankful for?For starters, you can wake up with a smile on your face, probably not yet hungry because of your hearty meal you had yesterday night. Most people don't have the privilege of doing that,a child your age would would have had to make do with a slice of stale bread, minus the butter, for yesterday night's dinner.
Secondly, your alive and breathing.Breathing easily, I might add.You don't need a breathing machine-helper-thingy or whatever it's called to help you breathe. It is not so for others.
Point number three, your wearing nice, clean and soft clothes and you're definitely gonna change into some nice, clean and soft clothes once again and are going down to have a breakfast of cheese, scrambled eggs on warm, white, fluffy toast.Others, however would have had to make do with a small meal that they must share with their brothers and sisters.
Number four, you have a school uniform to wear, and your parents probably just bought the school uniform a few days earlier before school started.LUCKY YOU.
The last point is,you have a group of friends that love you for who you are and want to spend time with you.You can meet them at school, tuition or anywhere you please. And you actually have the chance TO GO TO SCHOOL AND TUITION,where you met some of your friends, who will stay by your side forever. And you also had the chance to GAIN KNOWLEDGE at these places.YOU.LUCKY AGAIN.
So what is your New Year resolution for the year 2010?Mine is to be more thankful. To be appreciative for what I have from day to day.And to show the people whom I care for that I really do appreciate them.
THINK ABOUT IT!
XOXO-deni$e.

doing the small stuff right
Alright. So last friday, on the 6th of November,at about 9 something pm, I was watching JANE GOODALL: CHINA DIARY on the Discovery Channel. The show was about well, the environment and of course , the community that is responsible for both greening the environment and destroying the environment.
As the show proceeded,Jane Goodall explained that there are alot of people who really want to help Mother Earth, but some of them actually do not know how to.It then dawned upon me that it isn't that people don't care or don't want to care, they do not know how to care.So in this blog I have included a few very simple tips on how to help Mother Earth by doing the little things...
1)TURN OFF SWITCHES WHEN NOT IN USE- You have definitely heard this one before. The question is have you tried it?Or are you one of those who are in front of the telly, but the toilet light is on as well!!!
Anyway, not only will doing this save our planet, but it will also bring down your electricity bill as well!
2)REUSE YOUR CLOTHES- I know what you are thinking.I don't mean get rid of that washing machine in thy house.I mean to say that if you are the type who reads a beauty mag that always. . . and I mean always tells you that you are fat,bag of chips in hand and all, then this is for you. Wear your clothes 2 or 3 times before putting it to wash.
3)RECYCLE-You saw this coming. As often as you have heard it,the importance of recycling is still no less important then a sick person taking his or her pills on time. No! I am most certainly not trying to be sarcastic....I am trying to make a point here. All it takes is a few seconds-Think befor you throw and you are on your way. Then, actually make the effort to find a recycling bin near you ,visiting it every once in 2 weeks to give your well thought out contributions.
